This documentary on the life and career of The Bee Gees mixes archival performance footage with intimate home movies to paint a portrait of the three brothers who became one of the biggest selling music acts in the world.

Trek follows a young Mormon teenager named Tom and his friends on their handcart journey. Along the way they try to smuggle in unsanctioned food, battle sibling rivalry, encounter a “special ops” Young Men’s leader, match wits with a twinkie-loving skunk, and ponder doctrinal brain teasers like, “Do general Authorities go to PG-13 movies?” But, when they encounter unexpected trouble, their faith is tested much like their pioneer ancestors.

A comedy homage to the drive-in monster movies of the 50s.

This movie is a great compilation of the very silliest clips from some of the most awful “bimbo movies” of the past twenty years. It is laughably cheap. The only things added are some subtitles, dubing, and music. Made up from such fine films as “Assault of the Killer Bimbos”. They are stringed together to form a “plot” about aliens. Lots of pointless nudity, but it is somewhat well-paced. Stay for the final credits, which the narrator narrates.

Angie is having no luck auditioning for movies. She thinks about going back home, but her roommate Claudia convinces her to try working at the “gentleman’s club” with her in order to gain more life experience. Angie hopes to be able to turn the experience toward more effective acting but is having difficulty overcoming her inhibitions. She meets a burned out movie director at the club who helps her with her dilemma.

The basic story of a young criminal not quite living up to his won ideals of “not to give a damn” sidesteps out of his criminal career while dragging his younger brother into it, could have been interesting. Unfortunately the implementation is simply not good enough. As so often with Danish movies, there is little appreciation for detail thus leaving us with hoodlums talking like they’ve done time at a business academy rather than a prison. Dialects completely out of here and idiosyncratic bikers without bikes or even character for that matter. An ever accelerating surrealism towards the end doesn’t help to clear the slow pace of this film but it does give a glimpse of what the story could have unfolded to become.
