When Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School drama teacher Melody Herzfeld heard the fire alarm on Feb. 14, 2018, she was with her students in rehearsals for their annual children’s musical. Moments later, a Code Red sounded. Herzfeld rushed her 65 students into a storage closet while a shooter killed 17 teachers and students nearby.

As time moves on, Condon slowly becomes the villain in his own movie by playing off the actor’s need to give the best performances they possibly can, while also satisfying his increasingly sinister demands; even if it kills them. Part Milgram Experiment, part A Cabin in the Woods, G. Patrick Condon’s Incredible Violence will have audiences talking for years to come.

The film is episodic: friends visit, there’s a small fire in the house, Little Edie goes to the shore and swims. She talks about the Catholic Church. She’s ashamed that local authorities raided the house because of all the cats. She values being different.

Hopper’s loose, naturalistic style and sympathetic, yet critical attitude infuses the drama with a painful power that finally erupts in a devastating and thrillling conclusion.
After their space ship is damaged in an asteroid field , 10-year-old Willy is separated from his explorer parents and finds himself alone on a dusty planet with only a cute robot for company in this fun animated adventure. Packed with neat little touches, from a space toothbrush that converts into a knife and a flamethrower, to a cuddly orange alien that bears a resemblance to How To Train Your Dragon’s Toothless, the movie (known as Terra Willy in its native France) follows Willy as he learns to adapt to his new surroundings and the planet’s quirky (and occasionally dangerous) inhabitants. Nicely animated with a sweet story at its heart, this junior space adventure with a really likeable lead character is well worth seeking out.

For all three men, the team is not just a means of recreation, but a form of family.
