In a future where we have lost the ability to dream, people have turned to Fantasites, a parasite that induces the user’s wildest fantasies. When socially awkward Charles starts using the miracle product he finally meets the girl of his “dreams.” However, Fantasites come with some disturbing side effects that leave his chances with her squirming away.

Kaori (Riko Narumi) is a intense kendo fighter who has been training since she was young. Sanae (Kie Kitano) is a girl who has only participated in kendo casually, but somehow manages to beat Kaori in the final tournament of junior high school. Although Sanae doesn’t particularly care about it, Kaori holds a grudge, setting up a rivalry that bleeds over into high school.

They say the darkest hour is just before dawn, and at the Sunrise diner it’s very late indeed. Four couples find themselves at an out-of-the-way 24-hour diner, but they are not all that they seem. Intertwined throughout the night are a middle age couple who are at a crisis in their lives, a cook who thinks he is finally finding his way forward, a waitress in a bad relationship and a young punk and his girlfriend who think this is the last stop before the new world of imagined ease. Finally, when the girl opened her eyes, she gave her name, Rimo, and whispered only one sentence… “I must return to the flower patch…”

Tashi, a man in his early thirties is forced to come back to his village in the remote northeast region of india after eight years when he loses his job in the city. As he stays in the village waiting for news of any new job in the city to go back to, he begins to experience the life and culture of his native place and his people. He gradually begins rediscovering his roots, which he had never paid attention to earlier. He meet and falls in love with a girl, Anila, a school teacher in the village who helps him in the process. The experience in the village begins to slowly change him and he decides to finally stay back in the village and not go back even after he gets the news that he has found himself a new job in the city.

‘THE UPPER FOOTAGE’ is the first film experience of its kind. The film is an edited version of 393 minutes of recovered footage documenting a young girl’s tragic overdose death and subsequent cover up by a group of affluent socialites. What started as a blackmail plot played out over YouTube, became Hollywood’s biggest drug scandal, turned into a heavily controversial film property that was rumored to be held by some of the biggest names in Hollywood. Now, after playing itself out in the media for 3 years it is finally making its way to the public.
