Henry James’ classic tale of terror The Turn of the Screw receives yet another screen adaptation in this thriller shot in Spain. While the governess is initially enthusiastic about her job, Miles and Flora soon prove to be quite a handful, and the housekeeper Mrs. Grose (Lauren Bacall), who oversees most of the activities at the Master’s estate, is openly antagonistic to her. Before long, the governess discovers the house bears a dark secret involving Miss Jessel (Dayne Danika), the previous governess, and Fosc (Agusti Villaronga), the Master’s former valet. El Celo was the first feature from director Antoni Aloy.

Chappelle’s Show is an American sketch comedy television series created by comedians Dave Chappelle and Neal Brennan, with Chappelle hosting the show as well as starring in various sketches. Chappelle, Brennan and Michele Armour were the show’s executive producers. The series premiered on January 22, 2003, on the American cable television network Comedy Central. The show ran for two complete seasons and a third, truncated season.

Three episodes were compiled from the completed work and these episodes aired from July 9 to July 23, 2006. The Boondocks is an American adult animated sitcom on Cartoon Network’s late night programming block, Adult Swim. The series premiered on November 6, 2005 and was created by Aaron McGruder, based upon McGruder’s comic strip of the same name. The show begins with an African-American family, the Freemans, having moved from the South Side of Chicago, Illinois to the fictional, peaceful and mostly white suburb of Woodcrest. The perspective offered by this mixture of cultures, lifestyles, socioeconomic classes, stereotypes, and races provides for much of the comedy and conflict in this series.
There have been a total of 45 episodes over the course of the shows first three seasons. The two part season two finale “The Hunger Strike” and “The Uncle Ruckus Reality Show” was never aired on American television as Adult Swim feared legal actions against them from BET. Both episodes were aired on Teletoon and were released on DVD in the United States. The season three episodes “Pause” and “The Story of Jimmy Rebel” have been pulled from general episode rotation following the television debuts and no longer appear in reruns. A fourth season containing twenty episodes has been announced to air in January 2014.
The basic story of a young criminal not quite living up to his won ideals of “not to give a damn” sidesteps out of his criminal career while dragging his younger brother into it, could have been interesting. Unfortunately the implementation is simply not good enough. As so often with Danish movies, there is little appreciation for detail thus leaving us with hoodlums talking like they’ve done time at a business academy rather than a prison. Dialects completely out of here and idiosyncratic bikers without bikes or even character for that matter. An ever accelerating surrealism towards the end doesn’t help to clear the slow pace of this film but it does give a glimpse of what the story could have unfolded to become.

Welchman’s pioneering work in the field of traffic analysis led directly to the modern secret surveillance state, and particularly the use of metadata – as revealed by whistleblower Edward Snowden.

The film is a fly on the wall documentary showing how the ordinary human body can achieve extraordinary things. Beginning with groups in London, and then following events in Rico, Croatia and Oslo, Norway, the film depicts a wide variety of experience and opinions, and delves thoughtfully into a deeply misunderstood practice On Tender Hooks was a self-funded project filmed and edited by director Kate Shenton. Completed in 2012 it is an example of independent film-making at its purest.
Newly arrived in town Nat and Gabe accept a dinner invitation from the volatile Hungarian Helene and her boorish husband Sasha. Whilst the other guests, ex-Bananarama member Marty, Angie, who ‘makes bullets’ and the supposedly suicidal Danny are affable enough, Nat and Gabe are shocked by their hosts’ very public rows and Gabe’s attempt at peace-making is awkwardly received.
