Imagine you waken to find yourself in a strange, decaying new land. Only, this new homeland is a breeding ground for the damned…evil spirits roam about, torturing the scattered few innocents hiding in it’s hills. The unfortunate discover that at night, the worst of these beasts are released. This is now the existence of one Lucius Frost, a writer who uses his writing to exist in this hellish environment. A road that heads out of the hills leads through the rumored haunted highway, but the few who have trekked this path have never returned. What happened to them? On the brink of insanity, Lucius is forced to find out, accompanied by his spirit guide Aandeg. What they discover will be beyond their worst nightmares, and possibly open more doors than they wished to have found.

Climb inside the mind of a sociopath; an office worker kills his way into management but gets into trouble with his talkative girlfriend and a corrupt detective. Jim Collins has decided to kill his way to the top. He begins by strangling Harry, his manager, one night on an abandoned highway. Complications emerge when, at Harry’s wake, Jim learns Gail, his girlfriend, had slept with Harry months ago. Being interrogated by the intimidating detective Scott Hume doesn’t help things either. Jim’s psychosis kicks into high gear when he decides that Gail, who knows that Jim killed Harry and is going to tell the cop, has to be terminated.

Eunice is walking along the highways of northern England from one filling station to another. She is searching for Judith, the woman, she says to be in love with. It’s bad luck for the women at the cash desk not to be Judith, because Eunice is eccentric, angry and extreme dangerous. One day she meets Miriam, hard of hearing and a little ingenuous, who feels sympathy for Eunice and takes her home. Miriam is very impressed by Eunice’s fierceness and willfulness and follows her on the search for Judith. Shocked by Eunice’s cruelty she tries to make her a better person, but she looses ground herself.
