Three friends embark on a road trip like in high school, but things have changed – Gregor is going to war mission, Ziva is going to study abroad, while Andrej is still the same. There are secrets left unsaid. Can their friendship survive?

Tetsuo Togami (Shono Hayama) is in the 2nd grade of high school. Due to a fight, he is hospitalised. There, he meets Maiko Takashiro (Chika Arakawa). She has an incurable disease. She also has a hearing disability and is unable to talk. At first, Tetsuo becomes embarrassed, but begins exchanging text messages with Maiko. Through the text messages he begins having feelings for her. Even after his discharge from the hospital, he goes to visit Maiko everyday. They promise to go out together on Maiko’s birthday, but her condition worsens.

For Eric, Kelso, Jackie, Hyde, Donna and Fez, a group of high school teens who spend most of their time hanging out in Eric’s basement, life in the ‘70s isn’t always so groovy. One night while sleeping in a deserted building, Alan witnesses the murder of a high-profile businessman. He attempts to leave the scene unnoticed, but the killers realize that someone has seen them commit the crime. He goes to the police only to discover that one of the killers is leading the case. To stay alive, Alan recruits the help of Billie Hayman, an American journalist, to cover his story.

Wealthy American housewife Mary Morgan takes her bullied son George out of school for home education,including a trip to Southern Africa. Whilst in Mozambique George is bitten by a mosquito which crawls through a hole in his net and dies of malaria. After his funeral at home Mary feels a compulsion to return to Africa where she meets English woman Martha O’Connell,whose 24 year old son Ben, a teacher with voluntary service overseas,has also died of malaria. Ben gave his net to one of his pupils,believing adults cannot catch malaria. The two women are shocked to see the high death rate caused by the disease and,whilst Martha stays in Africa as a voluntary helper,Mary petitions the American government to change things. Martha turns up at Mary’s house unannounced and,helped by Mary’s ex-diplomat father,they address a senate committee on health spending,persuading them to do more to combat malaria. They meet with some success though a coda states that much more can be done.
