The story of a man who feels happy only when he is unhappy: addicted to sadness, with such need for pity, that he’s willing to do everything to evoke it from others. This is the life of a man in a world not cruel enough for him.
Doug (Douglas Rouillard) grew up thinking anything’s possible if you want it bad enough. However, his dreams always seem to be just out of reach. Fresh out of college, with no real solid job, Doug moves to Hollywood to give acting a try. This hilarious film shows just how frustrating “making it” can be. What the film does not show you is, it’s damn near impossible. Years of countless auditions and dead end jobs, not to mention meeting / losing the love of his life, Doug has just about given up when he has one last idea. With nothing to lose he decides to roll the dice. The only question is, will it work? – Written by: Douglas Rouillard – Produced by: DR Productions www.anythingspossiblethemovie.com www.drproductions.org
Matt, with the assistance of his new friend Riley, is moving out to Los Angeles California to fulfill his dream of making movies. Everything is off to a good start! That is until Matt’s childhood best friend Chaps decides to crash the road trip and invite himself along. When old friends don’t mix well with new friends, jealousy enters the picture. And if that wasn’t enough to put a damper on the road trip, a menacing hitchhiker turns their world upside down leading to a maddening chase that spins wildly out of control.
A young woman moves into a new apartment that she inherited from her grandmother, who had died there in a bizarre accident. She is immediately confronted by totally bizarre neighbors and someone is obviously out to get her as rats and flies engulf her apartment. But with the array of weirdos around her, who might it be? Everyone warns her to stay away from her upstairs neighbor, but he is the only one who shows any kindness. Supposedly the neighbor below her is an 80 year old woman, but she hammers the floor so hard when the young woman moves furniture that she breaks tiles. Another neighbor seems kind enough to begin with, but later seems more interfering and threatening. Also her weatherman boyfriend can’t be ruled out. Contrary to his desire for her to move in with him, she moved into their apartment.
SYMPATHY FOR THE DEVIL is an exhilarating, provocative motion picture. The Rolling Stones rehearse their latest song, “Sympathy For the Devil,” in a London studio. Beginning as a ballad, the track gradually acquires a pulsating groove, which gets Jagger into a rousing vocal display of soulful emotion that Godard is lucky enough to capture on film. Showing that rock and roll is more than just partying and goofing off, SYMPATHY FOR THE DEVIL is a brilliant portrait of the creative process at its most collaborative and arousing.
