Nate returns from Las Vegas to meet with an investor to expand his limo company, and is questioned by Detective Paxson, who tries to convince Nate to betray and reveal everything about Michael’s private investigations. Although Nate remains firm and refuses, Michael and the team plan to get Paxson into trouble with the Mayor’s office and make her break off her investigation. As Michael goes to his car, he is surprised by Tyler Brennen, an arms trader and dealer who proceeds to disable Michael’s car (due to holding a grudge against Michael since Season 2; “Sins of Omission”). Brennen has returned to Miami, after succeeding in getting rid of his South American pursuers by anonymously financing and supplying a private, bloody war between them and a rival cartel. He has taken on the role of Nate’s investor and brought a Sicilian enforcer, “The Butcher”, who is currently in a meeting with Nate. Brennen threatens to have Nate killed if Michael doesn’t help him pull off an elaborate heist. Michael proceeds to do so, eventually realizing Brennen plans to steal a government weapon, but gradually lays an elaborate plan, with the help of the team and Barry, to destroy Brennen’s presence in Miami. To force Michael to finish the job, Nate is brought to the heist by Brennen and is subsequently shot and injured. Michael, refusing to steal the weapon, is forced to spring his trap: Sam and Fiona blow up Brennen’s house, and Barry tricks Brennen into giving him his financial info and pretends to drain his accounts (Barry pretends to be the bank manager). Brennen is undeterred, until Michael claims to have put an assassin in place to kill Annabelle; Brennen’s secret young daughter, who is away at private school in Switzerland. Terrified for his child’s safety, Brennen departs, but not before saying they will meet again. In the end, it is revealed the plan to get Paxson into trouble failed: it only succeeded in getting Paxson’s partner suspended, driving Paxson to declare to Michael she will play just as under-handed.

Michael faces a new foe in Detective Paxson, who has tracked down some explosives Michael has been hiding in a storage facility, forcing Michael to surreptitiously get them out before Paxson gets a warrant. Meanwhile, Michael and team must rescue a kidnapped child by using reverse interrogation.

Michael is bailed out of jail by an old friend who asks for his help in return.

Michael gets to know Victor’s motivation and his connection to Carla after capturing him. When the truth about Carla’s organization is revealed, everyone is put in danger.

Michael’s ex-fiancé seeks the spy’s help in freeing her son, who was kidnapped by a disillusioned ex-spy named Brennen.

Michael takes on a sympathy case for a Haitian man whose daughter was murdered by a corrupt government official he believes is hiding in Miami. Michael gets closer to tracking down the person who tried to kill him.

A federal agent with a knack for giving Michael trouble returns to Miami to force Michael to hand over blackmail materials; the two enemies must work together during a bank robbery.

Michael, under the alias of Miles Parker, is hired by Scott Chandler to investigate strange activity – log-ins at odd hours, unusual computer activity and telephone bugging – at an art gallery. But after being attacked by the the gallery’s receptionist, Michael finds himself working against Chandler.

Meanwhile, Michael needs to find the person who planted the bomb at his loft, therefor he turns to arms dealer Seymour for help.

Sam calls in a favor and asks Michael to talk to Sean Martin, a football coach who helps impoverished kids. Sean wants Michael’s assistance helping one of his players, Corey Jensen, who’s being targeted by gangsters.

Michael prevents a man from committing suicide, whose son suffers from a heart condition. He had lost his savings in a scam after investing in a “miracle drug” for his son, so Michael decides to get him his money back.

Meanwhile, he has to deal with an explosion at his place and his brother in jail.

Hired by Fiona’s boyfriend’s friend Henry, Michael poses as a disgruntled bodyguard to thwart a kidnapping plot masterminded by a ruthless man named Lesher.

Michael and Sam discover the location of Bill Johnson (Joe Kimble) by going through his trash and finding laundry bluing, a staple among spies to prevent snooping in trash. Michael returns to his loft to find Larry Sizemore (Tim Matheson), a former mentor of Michael’s. Larry offers Michael $20,000, but then Michael raises it to $30,000, to kill a nurse named Jeannie (Amy Pietz) who stands to gain a lot of money when her ailing husband dies. Michael and Fiona track down Jeannie and inform her that Drew (Zachery Ty Bryan), her stepson, has placed out a bounty on her head. Michael protects Jeannie by faking her poisoning, aided by Fiona’s new boyfriend, Campbell (Gary Weeks), a paramedic. Larry kills Drew to cover his tracks and leaves Miami. Michael and Sam follow Bill Johnson into a building and find out that Carla has been using Michael for tactical support for an unknown operation. Michael had collected the ID card for entry into the building (Episode 2), and the rifle that sniper Bill Johnson would be using. Michael also attends family counseling with his mother.

Michael is hired to track down nearly a million dollars worth of pharmaceuticals that were stolen by thieves on their way to Tanzania.

When someone’s suspected of embezzling from a hip-hop mogul’s charity, Michael attempts to trick the thief into stealing a larger sum.

Michael poses as a safe cracker to help out a reformed ex-con who is unwillingly part of a heist, and tries to sneak into the heavily-guarded office of his handler. Meanwhile, Sam gets an unexpected proposition from his girlfriend.

Michael helps a Russian woman, Katya, whose sister was smuggled into the U.S. by gangsters; however, Katya cannot afford their extortionate demands and her sister is being held captive.

Andy, a cell-phone salesman, was conned into investing in a fake Cuban nightclub. Michael helps Andy when the people he borrowed the money from come knocking.

While Michael’s new handler asks him to locate a Tunisian counterfeiter, Sam asks him to help a woman who says she is being stalked by a drug dealer, and his mother asks him to join her in seeing a therapist.

Having been recruited by the people who burned him, Michael’s new handler, Carla, tasks him with helping a computer tech, whose wife and daughter were kidnapped, liberate some information that is guarded by mercenaries.

Michael must rescue Sam from heroin smugglers, who happen to be ex-Special Forces, while also evading agents who are out to get him.

Sam takes on a case for a woman named Gillian, who is being blackmailed into using her security clearance to help smuggle heroin into the United States. Meanwhile, Michael is busy trying to arrange a meeting with Philip Cowan.

Michael is hired to track down a woman’s estranged husband, who has disappeared with their son. Michael soon finds himself pitted against somebody just as skilled and dangerous as he is.

A slightly dim house sitter’s fiancée has been kidnapped, and Sam guilts Michael into a rescue while he’s negotiating with a D.C. bureaucrat to stop the burn notice.

With Michael’s assistance, Fiona helps a man who has been framed for the theft of an expensive brooch.

Michael works to rid a community in little Havana of a crime boss, all the while baiting Jason Bly at the risk of his family and friends.

Michael discovers a surprise aboard a boat he has retrieved from Jamaican gangsters. Meanwhile, a CSS agent urges Michael to stop his investigation into who burned him.

Michael takes on arms dealers for an airport worker, while Nate obsesses about the car and their dad’s will.

A drug dealer is witnessed brutally beating up a man by a single mother. Oleg asks Michael to help the woman, Cara, his best waitress, after she stops showing up for work.

Michael helps Madeline’s friend retrieve money from a swindler, and in return he receives information about some visitors that came to his mother’s home.

Michael Westen is a spy who receives a “burn notice” while on assignment. Spies are not fired, rather they are issued a burn notice to let the agent know their services are no longer required.

Penniless, Michael returns to his roots in Miami where he freelances his skills to earn money. First up, Michael helps a man clear his name after valuable pieces of art and jewelery are stolen.

Dorothy accepts Lucas’ proposal. The two plan to tie the knot two months later and on the way to the chapel, Dorothy takes a limo. However, this limo is driven by none other than Stanley Zbornak. The two share a rather comical but nonetheless touching moment together before arriving at the chapel. Down the aisle, along with Sophia, the girls think to themselves about the beautiful friendship they shared. Rose, Blanche and Sophia decide that the three of them should not depart and allow Dorothy on her way to Atlanta but she doesn’t leave without sharing some final words with the girls…

Blanche’s uncle Lucas Hollingsworth is visiting but, to no surprise, Blanche is busy with a date. In order to berid of his intrudence, Blanche tells Dorothy that he desparetely wants to meet a woman of her intelligence. Dorothy agrees to see him but they both later learn that Blanche just lied to get rid of them and decide to get revenge by acting as though they’re getting married, much to the dismay of Blanche. As a result, Rose decides she should move on to live with her daughter Kirsten to be the “”Sophia of the household”” as Blanche finally comes to terms with their idea to wed. Just as Lucas is about to reveal the truth, he decides to pop the question to Dorothy for real…

While Rose undergoes severe surgery, the girls try to entertain themselves with fond memories and laughter, only for Rose’s daughter Kirsten to walk in on them enjoying themselves! Kirsten is spiteful of them and does not allow them to visit Rose. Kirsten visits Rose, who is near knocked out, and try to have a conversation…very comically as poor Rose is not altogether. With Rose going into surgery, Kirsten reconciles with the worried girls. At last, Rose is released and they all throw a surprise welcome home party for our lovable St. Olafian!

Rose is upset when she has missed her high school reunion due to being sick, so Blanche convinces her, Dorothy and Sophia to crash a reunion held in Miami, posing as absentees from that school. Dorothy goes as the lame prom queen Cindy Lou Peoples, Blanche is the seemingly slutty Susan, Rose is the Korean exchange student Kim FongToi and Sophia is Mrs. Gonzales. With that, the girls mingle with their “”former”” classmates, only to realize that their counterparts lives are as dull as theirs, however, when the girls are found out by the guests…Rose has a heart attack!

It’s Miles birthday and Rose is planning on giving him a golf club. However, Blanche gives her an idea that would spice up her relationship, naughty pictures. Meanwhile, Dorothy begins a new job.

The full moon and festivities prompt strange happenings including Blanche’s jewelry being swiped, Sophia trying to break a curse and Dorothy and Miles sharing a passionate kiss.

A full moon on Leap Year, prompts Blanche to throw a Moonlight Madness Party. However, her plans of being ogled by men go drastically awry when Dorothy gets all of the attention. Meanwhile, Rose contemplates marrying Miles after winning a free honeymoon to Paris.

Blanche brings a lonely, Dorothy down to the Rusty Anchor for a night of excitement. However, Blanche, had no intention of being pushed off her thrown by Dorothy, who begins singing and instantly becomes the center of attention.
