I always think about death. Realizing the fact that we all are going to die give me power to move and fight my fears. I was made with clay that became alive. Then, this clay will die. I was made out of clay and will be turned to dust again. I am Earth. I can create new life too. I am passion, ideas, energy, sex. My body grow, bloom. My body is changing while I am alive. It will continue changing after my death. Therefore, it is dying all the time. When I die my body will continue changing. They will give chance to another types of life, like bugs and worms, bacterias. Every type of my physical being is creating life. Conclusion is – everything around is life and is alive. Even death is life.

“I was visiting Jerome Hill. Jerome loved France, especially Provence. He spent all his summers in Cassis. My window overlooked the sea. I sat in my little room, reading or writing, and looked at the sea. I decided to place my Bolex exactly at the angle of light as what Signac saw from his studio which was just behind where I was staying, and film the view from morning till after sunset, frame by frame. One day of the Cassis port filmed in one shot.” -JM

Plot 35 is a place that was never mentioned in my family; it is where my elder sister, who died aged three, is buried. The sister about whom I was told nothing, or nearly nothing, and of whom my parents had oddly never kept a single photograph. It was to make up for the missing images that I decided to make this film. Thinking that I would simply chronicle a forgotten life, in fact I opened up the hidden door to a past that I was unaware of, to the subconscious memory that lies inside each of us and who makes us what we are.
