A man embarks on a journey deep into the wilderness in search of the thing he’s been studying his entire life. Meanwhile, his daughter knows something he doesn’t and is in pursuit to track him down and stop him from the point of no return.

Following the murder of her father by hired hand Tom Chaney, 14-year-old farm girl Mattie Ross sets out to capture the killer.
