Rolling between villages and towns in rural Ireland for nine months of the year, Circus GERBOLA becomes a place outside the ordinary world.

Each year 40.000 people from Africa, Asia and Middle East, try to enter Europe. They flee from war, persecution and poverty. Since the ways by land have been interrupted, they board overloaded vessels and face a dangerous and often deadly voyage across the Mediterranean.

Aliens in our ancient past is practically common knowledge. To mark the twentieth anniversary of “Around the World in 80 Days” we went back to Dubai and India to retrace our steps and to see if we could find any of the crew of Al Shama.
