To salve his guilty conscience an elder brother removes his disturbed younger sibling from a mental institution after a suicide attempt and tries to bring him back to mental competency through one on one contact. Free of the institution he continues to be haunted by dreams of a lost twin and chants the eerie phrase “Do I stand before the king?” It is the elder brother that seems doomed to lose himself in his brother’s insanity.

A high school outcast who lives in a trailer with his mother finally meets a friend. He wants to ask her if they can go the next step, but then sees her kissing another boy at a party. He runs home only to find his mother having sex with a drunk. He starts yelling, but is countered by the drunk when he suffocates him and makes him look like he hung himself. The scarecrow comes in when the boy’s soul is pushed into it. He goes out for revenge.

Mozart’s Marriage of Figaro is a comedy whose dark undertones explore the blurred boundaries between dying feudalism and emerging Enlightenment. Herman Prey’s Figaro is admirably sung in a firm baritone and aptly characterized. So too, is his antagonist, Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau as the Count perpetually frustrated by the scheming wiles of Figaro and Susanna, here the perky Mirella Freni, who sings and acts like a dream. The Countess is creamy-voiced Kiri Te Kanawa, and the Cherubino, Maria Ewing, looks just like the horny, teenaged page she’s supposed to be. The all-star leads are complemented by worthy supporting singers, the Vienna Philharmonic at the top of its form, and the experienced Mozartian, Karl Böhm conducting a stylishly fleet performance.

In a country called “Diamond Domain” lies the powerful Heart Diamond, which has served as the kingdom’s source of energy and maintained the Ore Country for centuries. They are aided by Millis Steel and her father Argus, travelers who also encounter the Cocoon of Destruction.

Quincy then tries to sabotage Chris, but it all goes wrong, because Chris’ mom Tracy thinks that Quincy is her Internet date. Quincy lies to Tracy on their first date saying that he is a Home Ec. teacher at Chris’ school. Right before the tournament, Chris figures out that Quincy was lying about everything. So, Chris decides that she will “destroy” him at the tournament. Quincy ends up forfeiting the tournament to show that he is sincerely sorry. Tracy takes him back, and they go to Chris’ prom. Chris decides to go with her love interest in the movie, Ash.
