After an unprecedented global pandemic has turned the majority of humankind into violent “Infected,” a man gifted with the ability to speak the Infected’s new language leads the last survivors on a hunt for Patient Zero and a cure.

A small TV crew makes their way into the most haunted hotel in the US to film a web series on the paranormal. With the help of a Native American medium, they perform “The Speak”, a ceremony that brings forth more spirits and demons than the crew bargained for.

It is also meticulously researched, down to the names of the members of the Académie française and the dames précieuses glimpsed before the performance in the first scene. The play has been translated and performed many times, and is responsible for introducing the word “panache” into the English language.
