Bud and Lou are the owners of the amusement park Kiddieland. Bud, a compulsive gambler, gets in trouble with the mob, and Lou finds himself struggling to keep his adopted children. When Bud is forced to make a shady deal, Lou tries to arrange a deal with the DA, but winds up framed for murder.

Eight-year-old Kevin McCallister makes the most of the situation after his family unwittingly leaves him behind when they go on Christmas vacation. Colonial tea planter John Wiley (Peter Finch), visiting England at the end of World War II, wins and weds lovely English rose Ruth (Dame Elizabeth Taylor) and takes her home to Elephant Walk, Ceylon, where the local elephants have a grudge against the plantation. Ruth’s delight with the tropical wealth and luxury of her new home is tempered by isolation as the only white woman in the district; her husband’s occasional imperious arrogance; a mutual physical attraction with plantation manager Dick Carver (Dana Andrews), and the hovering, ominous menace of the hostile elephants.

A soldier stationed on an army base and his fiancé, who runs a women’s “fat farm” nearby, want to get married but don’t have enough money. Three customers of the “fat farm” scheme to get back at their philandering husbands by hiring the soldier and two of his buddies as “escorts” for the weekend. Complications ensue when the husbands show up unexpectedly.

The story follows Danika, a woman whose fears for her children are manifested in premonitions of death and disaster.

A woman with psychic visions and an alcoholic past moves into a house where the previous occupant was mysteriously decapitated, and soon suspects the visions she’s seeing are her own future.
