Bill Zebub
A woman who is researching alien abductions for a book receives increasing reports of nocturnal attackers who are described as resembling Santa Claus. She enlists the aid of a scholar of mythology to see if the legend of Santa has a darker side, and what she discovers is more horrifying than she could never have expected.
Notorious director “Bill Zebub” (“Assmonster”) set out to spoof science fiction movies. He noticed that Star Trek had social messages woven into the stories. He thought jokingly “What if I weave ANTIsocial messages?” Not letting the joke fade, he wondered if there were anything in modern times that he could target, and the answer came fast. Political correctness.
A romantic couple get more than they expected after the husband’s experiments with penis-enlargement cream go awry. Wait, this is not a porn story. Rather, it is an absurd science-fiction movie that features a curious new species, the Dickshark. In some ways this story asks the same questions that Mary Shelly did when she wrote “Frankenstein.”
If you think it’s funny to watch a drunkard, think of the fun you’ll have watching someone on acid. This movie follows a doomed character who can’t seem to go a day without tripping, venturing into one misadventure after another. Yes, taking acid can make a normal routine, like going to work, seem like an odyssey, complete with monsters (toilet sharks), perils (the sidewalk turning into an inferno), and beautiful maidens. Peter Steele from Type O Negative guest stars in this unusual comedy.
Puppets live alongside humans peacefully, but suddenly their behavior becomes depraved. Is such criminal activity rare, or is the media blowing things out of proportion, making cops look like sadistic gunslingers and causing people to distrust them, each other, and most of all, puppets. Is the apocalypse coming, or is the fear-mongering just a great way for News programs to get advertising money? Wait – that makes this movie sound like a serious allegory. Change that. This movie has more wtf moments than you can imagine. It’s high brow and low brow at the same time.
Nearing the end of WW2, Nazis realize that they will lose. A handful of them board a plane bound for Argentina, where they plan to live in hiding. During the flight lightning hits the plane and the SS parachute onto an island populated by savages. Atrocities await. Notorious director Bill Zebub has often ridiculed fascism, but he never actually targeted Nazis. This is the first movie in which he outright makes fun of them. He never thought that it was necessary to point out the obvious, but this particular story is fertile ground for new parody.
Follow the story of Jesus in this slapstick satire. With a name like “Jesus, the Total Douchebag” the movie should only be seen by people who enjoy blasphemous comedy, and as such, the comedy is focused on targets that are usually exempt. Director Bill Zebub explains, “Indie movies should revel in their freedom. They are not confined to the same boundaries as the big budget movies. They should give what Hollywood can’t.”
