Light Yagami is an ordinary university student. One day, he receives a death note which changes his life. The death note awakens his warped sense of justice and genius. He becomes murderer Kira and punishes criminals. L is a well known private detective. L appears in front of Light Yagami. L defines Kira as evil and decides to catch Kira. Then N, who has a beautiful appearance but dangerous existence, appears.
High school student Izumi Kawashima, whose daily routine is rating newspaper articles, finds a wallet containing a large sum of cash. Instead of returning the wallet to its owner, Izumi decides to lend a substantial portion of the money to a middle-aged male acquaintance. She eventually returns the wallet to its owner, a wealthy high-school boy named Koki, who notices the missing money, and as compensation, asks Izumi to do something for his friend – to create a newspaper that brings happiness to its reader.
Hibino Tsubaki (Takei Emi) is a young teenage girl with a talent for styling other people’s hair. Yet, Tsubaki suffers from low self-esteem and isn’t very comfortable styling her own hair. She also has a tendency to dress old-fashioned. She’s teased at high school because of this. One day, popular male student Tsubaki Kyota (Matsuzaka Tori) targets Tsubaki for teasing. Tsubaki Kyota holds sway over the entire classroom and is quite a playboy. Inexplicably they fall in love. Meanwhile, Tsubaki Kyota has commitment issues…
