Sarah, raised in New York, visits Malaysia for the first time and learns why her grandfather, Gen, and mother, Sophia, have not seen each other since she was born, and why they care so much about their cultural traditions.

Le Ren who moves into an old house located at suburbs with his girlfriend, Ming Ming. They think their new home would bring them serenity and they could start a happy life in there. However, Le Ren is not aware that this house would one day becomes his nightmare. Soon after they move into the house, Le Ren hears some low, muffled sounds from nowhere in the house.
