“Wedding in Bessarabia” is a story of a young couple who recently got married in Romania. He is a young conductor from Bucharest and she is a gifted pianist from the Republic of Moldova. One day, they decide to have another wedding in Moldova, hoping to get the money to pay the account for a new apartment. The movie exploits the difference of traditions and habits between Romania and Bessarabia, and a sort of a competition which arises between the families involved.

Firu Dorileanu, 30 unemployed, lives alone in his deceased parents’ apartment. To pass his financial problems, he tries to sell his mother’s contrabass. So, with this occasion, he discovers inside the instrument a letter and an old film from his mother’s youth. Going behind the protagonists in the film, Firu arrives inside the wreck, there where was born his mother’s secret.

Paranoid computer programmer Simon wakes up to find a package in his room one day. Despite attempts at securing his apartment, the packages keep arriving. While cameras watch Simon’s every move, he struggles to find the answers to the mysterious forces taking over his life.
