Arswendy Bening Swara
A young man working as a housekeeper in an empty mansion. When its owner returns to start his mayoral election campaign, the young man bonds with him and defends him when his campaign is vandalized, setting off a chain of violence.
Set against Indonesia’s turbulent post-independence years in the 1960s, the story revolves around the domestic life of a woman whose personal life has been completely overturned by the political turmoil.
Bima and Dara are lovers who are still in high school. At the age of 17, they were determined to copulate outside of marriage. Dara was pregnant. Both are then confronted with a life that is unimaginable for children of their age, life as parents.
