A warlock flees from the 17th to the 20th century, with a witch-hunter in hot pursuit. A Warlock is taken captive in Boston, Massachusetts in 1691 by a witch-hunter Giles Redferne. He is sentenced to death for his activities, including the bewitching of Redferne’s bride-to-be, but before the execution a demon appears and propels the Warlock forward in time to 20th century Los Angeles, California.

A misanthropic man sets out to exact revenge on his estranged father, by finding a loophole and attempting to win the National Spelling Bee as an adult. Figuring it would destroy his father, and everything he’s worked so hard for as head of the Spelling Bee Championship Organization, Guy Trilby (Jason Bateman) eventually discovers winning isn’t necessary for revenge, and that friendship is a blessing not a curse.

The film portrays MacArthur’s (Gregory Peck) life from 1942, before the Battle of Bataan, to 1952, the time after he had been removed from his Korean War command by President Truman (Ed Flanders) for insubordination, and is recounted in flashback as he visits West Point.
