Guo Jing and Yang Kang are the sons of two rebels. The rebels are killed by imperial soldiers and the boys are rescued by six pugilists later. The pugilists agree to separate the two boys, tutor them separately in martial arts, and let them meet again when they have grown up, to determine whose abilities are better. Guo becomes the student of the “Seven Freaks of Jiangnan” while Yang Kang becomes the foster son of a Jurchen prince inadvertently.
The world is on the brink of catastrophe in a chaotic age where evil demons roam. In order to keep evil at bay, a mysterious organisation from the pugilist world emerges. A new constable and a young girl with a mysterious past are also drawn into this group, and the group embarks on an incredible adventure.

So This is Love? was another early Frank Capra production for fledgling Columbia Pictures. The hero, dress designer Jerry McGuire (William Collier Jr.), is tired of being considered a wimp. After business hours, Jerry secretly takes boxing lessons, enabling him to knock the stuffings out of his burly rival Spike Mullins (Johnnie Walker). Jerry’s newfound pugilistic skills wins him the affections of store clerk Hilda Jensen (Shirley Mason), who’s just car-razy about “cave men.” Filmed in a fast three weeks, So This is Love? was completed before Frank Capra’s Matinee Idol but released afterward. Leading lady Shirley Mason was the sister of Viola Dana, who starred in Capra’s initial Columbia effort, That Certain Thing.
