1955. Kitaro’s father, Medama Oyaji, comes to Yagura Village in search of his missing wife. Swedish efficiency researchers come to Norway for a study of Norwegian men, to optimize their use of their kitchen. Folke Nilsson (Tomas Norström) is assigned to study the habits of Isak Bjørvik (Joachim Calmeyer). By the rules of the research institute, Folke has to sit on an umpire’s chair in Isak’s kitchen and observe him from there, but never talk to him. Isak stops using his kitchen and observes Folke through a hole in the ceiling instead. However, the two lonely men slowly overcome the initial post-war Norwegian-Swede distrust and become friends.

As a young child Luther The Geek or “The Freak” witnesses a band of men goading a geek (a man who bites off chicken’s heads and drinks the blood) into performing. In the ensuing hullabaloo, Luther bites his lip and likes the taste of blood. Flash forward some thirty years and a parole board is meeting to discuss Luther’s release. It seems the cheeky blighter has been murdering folk in the meantime. A dopey parole board trainee sides with the liberals and so Luther is unleashed, except now he has a special pair of customized metal teeth. Luther then proceeds to “bite the heads off” of many hapless folk until the tense ending. This movie is most notable for it’s bare dialog, whole stretches pass without a sound. Most of the audio is composed of Luther clucking insanely like a chicken.

Samao Daikoku’s (Shota Sometani) family register was taken which keeps him from escaping the underground life that he has led. To get away once and for all, Samao Daikoku breaks into Daikichi Ebisu’s (Kiyohiko Shibukawa) coin locker to steal gold. Daikichi Ebisu is involved in a criminal organization. In the locker, Samao Daikoku finds a hard disk containing personal information on runaways, homeless people, bankrupt people and prostitutes. He hides the hard disk, but is locked up by Daikichi Ebisu. There, he sees a prostitute, Ami Nanmu (Erina Mizuno) and he also faces an evil gang boss, Kan Senju (Gou Ayano). Samao Daikoku is tortured by the gang boss. The mystery behind Samao Daikoku’s past is revealed.

The mayor of Oita wants to improve the image of his city, so he instructs Chiaki – a young woman working for the city’s PR department – to form a female tug of war team. Nobuo MIZUTA mixes comedy, drama and a pinch of social criticism to tell a tale of eight women, their everyday struggles and their support for each other.
