The controversial true story of a gay activist who rejects his homosexuality and becomes a Christian pastor.

In the 1930s, a social set known to the press – who follow their every move – as the “Bright Young Things” are Adam and his friends who are eccentric, wild and entirely shocking to the older generation. Amidst the madness, Adam, who is well connected but totally broke, is desperately trying to get enough money to marry the beautiful Nina. While his attempts to raise cash are constantly thwarted, their friends seem to self-destruct, one-by-one, in an endless search for newer and faster sensations. Finally, when world events out of their control come crashing around them, they are forced to reassess their lives and what they value most.

My Stupid Boss recounts the story of an absurd boss and his employees. Bossman (Reza Rahadian) is an Indonesian who owns a company in Kuala Lumpur. A large but disorganized company. The culprit for the disarray in the organization is the bossman himself. His first principle of management is that Bossman Is Always Right. Which means whatever the Bossman fancies, he’ll get it done. And that is his following principle: Impossible We Do Miracle We Try. In the midst of this is Diana, the Bossman’s secretary, who has to juggle at every turn with the odds that never seem to add up in the company. Diana’s daily confronted with her boss’s antics and her patience and good sense are all put to the test.

Six-year-old Ataru steps on Elle’s shadow during an impromptu game of shadow-tag; in Elle’s culture, this is viewed as a marriage proposal. Eleven years later, Elle returns to Earth in order to marry Ataru — by which time not only had he forgotten the events of his childhood, but he was also going out with Lum. The rest of the plot focuses on Lum’s attempts to prevent the marriage. The film was directed by Mamoru Oshii who was mad at the many requests that the producer made of him to alter the movie. Rumiko Takahashi considers this film her favorite and it is the most true to the original series.

This musical is based on four short stories by Damon Runyon. In one tale, gambler Feet Samuels sells his body to science just as he realizes that Hortense loves him and that he would rather live than die. In another story, Harriet’s parrot is killed, and she has problems dealing with her loss. Then, there is a gambler, “Regret”, who has bloodhounds on his trail when he becomes a murder suspect. Finally, “The Brain” is bleeding profusely, and his friends search for a way to save his life through a blood transfusion.

Bart Allison arrives in Sundown after a three year search for Tate Kimbrough. Although it is Kimbrough’s wedding day, Allison makes it clear he blames him for the death of his wife and is out to kill him. A shoot-out in the church puts the wedding on hold and Allison and his trail-buddy hole up in the livery stable. But the reasons for his actions become increasingly unclear, while the town starts to wonder about the grip Kimbrough has over them.

Yohei, a punk rocker, becomes a Buddhist monk in order to inherit a mountain temple. Though initially rebelling against the tough monastic discipline, he learns to adjust. Then his girlfriend shows up, enticing him to return to his rock ‘n’ roll roots.

Joy can’t let go of her ex, but doesn’t seem to be able to fall for the new guy. In the meantime she keeps having casual sex with strangers.
