In 1901, Marcela Gracia Ibeas took on the identity of Mario Sánchez to marry her lover of fifteen years, Elisa Sanchez Loriga.

David Hyde Pierce, playing an alien (credited as infinity-cubed in the opening credits), narrates a courtship in a late-20th century American city as an extraterrestrial nature documentary. The relationship “footage” is played straight, while the voice-over (with its most often wildly inaccurate theories) and elaborate visual metaphors add comedy.

During World War One an English adventurer, an American elephant poacher and the latter’s attractive young daughter, set out to destroy a German battle-cruiser which is awaiting repairs in an inlet just off Zanzibar. The story is based on a novel by Wilbur Smith, which in turn is very loosely based on events involving the light cruiser SMS Königsberg, which was sunk after taking refuge in Rufigi delta in 1915.

This short film is a combination of live-action and animation. It is done in the style of the chalk drawings seen in the original “Mary Poppins” film and was produced exclusively for the 40th Anniversary Special Edition DVD released in December of 2004. Julie Andrews and two children magically enter the animated world of the chalk drawings to experience this whimsical tale based on one of the chapters from the original series of “Mary Poppins” books.
